Totnes
Clive Smith

Monday 8th April 2019 was supposed to be the date that the West of England line lost three HST diagrams. However after I tentatively announced the last HST Cornish Riviera last Friday with a question mark, the 8th duly saw the 09.00 Penzance - Paddington worked by an HST with 43188 The Welshman leading with 43180 on the rear. Is this the last HST Riv ? Who knows.

         Regards, Clive Smith.
Keep up the good work Clive.

A sad  sight passing through
Swindon
Ken Mumford
Friends,
57312 [Solway Princess] hauling emu 313026  from Hornsey (North London) to Sims Metals at Newport docks passes through Swindon at 1-30 pm this afternoon. Unfortunately I haven't retained the train's reporting number!  It would be very much appreciated if my name is attributed to these photos if they are forwarded and/or used in a publication - Thank you very much for such an acknowledgement.

Kind regards, Ken.       Many thanks indeed Ken a sad sight though.

West Somerset Diesel Gala
Karl Hewlett
Dear Keith.
Further to my postings on the 'West Somerset Railway Diesel Gala' on 20th to 23rd June, due to the recent ORR visit to the line a lower weight restriction has been temporarily imposed which has effected the line up.  46010 and the planned class 50 visit are not happening and this restriction also effects the lines resident class 47 D1661 'North Star'.
The new line up is so far:

Class 37 D6948, class 35 D7017 and D7018, class 33 D6566 and D6575, class 25 D7535 and class 14 D9526.

Regards, Karl (Friends Of Penmere Station).
Many thanks for your post.
