Hymek Identified

Laira 5th August 1975 Copyright Howard Sprenger
With regard to Howard Sprenger’s August 1975 view of the Laira scraplines, I think the dumped Hymek was probably D7089. I noted her when passing on my return from Germany in the March of ’75.

I didn’t identify the Westerns but they may have had names and numbers removed by that date.

Best to all, Trevor.

Thanks Trevor - well spotted and well remembered. Many thanks.

Many thanks Howard - much appreciated.

A rather amazing tree, which looks to be of a similar age to the railway, snakes over the trackbed. This section leads up to Milestone 8 and then meets a gate abruptly at Dark Lake Farm. It was time to turn round and head back up into Glenholt. Copyright Ed Hooper
Many thanks to Ed Hooper - Part 4 of this detailed survey will follow shortly.

An appeal for pictures
Micheal Manning
 Keith,
As you probably remember I'm still working on my book.
I would like to ask Howard Sprenger if he has any pictures of Wadebridge and Padstow around 1976 or before. I have asked several times for help from Andrew without success.

Best regards,
Mike
Can anybody help Michael please? Reply to Michael
