57 605 Totnes Castle rescues 57 603 Tintagel Castle.
Mick House

In between the rain at 19.59 as the sun was going down last evening (05/06/2020), 57 605 Totnes Castle was about to go under Apex Bridge dragging 57 603 Tintagel Castle and eight Night Riviera coaches, having been stranded at Lostwithiel.

(2) 67023 heads the eastward leg of the 1Q18 with 67027 on the rear. Low tide was an hour earlier and the sun was trying to break out through the extensive cloud cover so the yellow Colas 67s and carriages with a hint of blue sky brightened up an overall greyish scene. This is a fabulous tranquil spot to watch trains go by and observe the birdlife and boats on the river. 5th June 2020. Copyright Clive Smith.
Many thanks Clive - nice by the river.
The saga of the sleeper
Andrew Triggs

The late running 5Z79 'ECS 'Night Riviera' with 57603 was halted in Lostwithiel Down loop due to low power issues resulting in 57605 being summoned from Longrock Depot light engine to assist west, eventually arriving a whopping 337 late at Longrock at 20.37, running straight into the Depot via the Reception Road,
