             Track Replacement
                 St Ives branch.

We know that you would all like to know more about this operation.
With this in mind it is intended to set up a feature on the website as a record of this historic and unusual engineering work.
We would be very grateful if you would like to send your photographs (With date and time) of the work taken while on legitimate exercise to Roger Winnen. Roger has kindly agreed to assemble a selection of your pictures  for  presentation as a  feature once the work is completed. Roger Winnen's email address is
 WINNEN <[email protected]>

Thank you for your responses, lets hope for a speedy return to normal operation.
Please keep safe and stay at home whenever possible.
Kind regards to all
RKJ.

The joy of railtours
Dawlish
Martin Baker

Martin very kindly send us additional pictures of the 'Penzance Flyer' railtour taken at Dawlish on what was obviously a glorious day in 1996 long before the sea wall was raised.  Note all the heads and cameras out of the windows - 'those were the days my friend - we thought they'd never end'.

St Ives branch -
Progress.
It is understood from very local observers that the track has been lifted and new sleepers laid for a good way between St Ives station towards Carbis Bay.
Many thanks to our observers
