Milton
Driver Alan Peters

Who would have thought in 2022 it would still be possible to see class 56's affectionally known as 'Grids' on ballast trains on the Western Region of Network Rail. This was the case when 56094 was rostered to work top and tail with 70809 as 6C22 at Didcot and is seen alongside the A4130 at Milton waiting to move up towards Didcot Parkway where the engineering works were taking place over the weekend of  29th and 30th January 2022

Onslow Siding
Bernard Mills

Barnard writes :-  Looking at the Cornwall galleries, I notice on the Lostwithiel to St Germans you mention Onslow Siding just to the east of Bodmin Parkway, and note the opening and closure of the signal box dates. If this is any help, here is my picture of Onslow Siding Signal Box taken not long before closure from the PRC Clayliner tour 11 May 1968, you can put in  there if you like. Bernard
