Hello Roger, I hope you enjoyed your trip to Paignton, the class 50s looked great and I bet they sounded good. On the subject of railtours here is a picture taken on Saturday 24 November 1984 of ‘The Devon Quarryman’ at Meldon Quarry sidings .The picture shows 40086 and 40118.The Hertfordshire Railtours special started at Euston behind electric 81009,went to Birmingham where the 5os took over to head West.What long days we endured when we were younger!
