Thundering round Maiden Newton
Bill Elston

Good afternoon everybody,

The Millbrook Meander railtour ran today (26.05), from Eastleigh to Eastleigh via Salisbury, Yeovil and Weymouth.

This was hauled t/t by Hanson and Hall class 50, 50008, and Freightliner 66509.  The stock was London Transport's maroon 4TC set, seen here passing Maiden Newton.

Hope these are of interest,

Best wishes,

Bill

Roskear Junction
Roger Geach

Good Morning

Nice to see RW pictures around Camborne. (Click here and scroll down)

Here is mine Roskear very recently, not changed that much in 50 years unlike some places.

Also a picture of a IET service from Penzance to Plymouth the same time from Roskear Footbridge tuesday 21 5 2024.

I much prefer the days of old and looked to see if i was out that day 2 4 1976 a friday. I was, the 47 on the milk was 47087 on the 6a21 1640 st erth - acton milk.

1056 I saw on the 1b65 1330 paddington to penzance service which RW photographed at Marazion.

1030 was on 4m05 1250 penzance - crewe vans which it worked to Plymouth and later came back on the 2b24 1745 plymouth - penzance stopper.

Great pictures.

Thanks very much, Roger - it's a testament to your record keeping that you can ID the locos RW photographed all those years ago, well done!
