66025 worked a first in many years as JIA clay wagons were loaded at Rocks (Goonbarrow). These wagons are usually loaded at Par Harbour & Treviscoe. Maybe this will become a regular working? 66025 has been replaced by red 66055. The loaded wagons are pictured at Middleway. Copyright Craig Munday

19th September 2019 A loco problem saw the usual Moorswater cement skip a day this week. The loaded wagons down Thursday, empties back Fri 20th. The errant loco 70808 remained in the consist from Exeter through to destination, then returned on the rear Friday. It was capable of providing traction, and worked up from Coombe on the Friday with sister loco 70807, the two locomotives are seen crossing the road outside of the old Moorswater Dries.

The Ground Control team are busy clearing a 8m lineside strip from St Germans to Onslow (Bodmin). David Groves' team are working West of Liskeard, and have cleared the up line near Moorswater viaduct already as 43093 passes on 20th September. The work reveals a scene of the Glynn valley not seen for years from the footbridge. Copyright Craig Munday

Peter writes:- You may get a number of photos of today's cement empties train from Moorswater, as it featured two Class 70s.  It was very rare (perhaps the first time?) that two locos had berthed overnight in Moorswater Lafarge depot.  I was there this morning to witness the departure back to Aberthawe.  70808 at the head of the train had suffered engine defects on the journey down, so would have been glad of the assistance of 70807 on the return journey.
Best wishes,  Peter.  Many thanks for your report Peter.
