Teignmouth Parade

A stroll along the sea wall from Teignmouth to Parson's Tunnel provided an opportunity to photograph Sunday's 'Torbay Express' and a few HSTs on the Londons in the late morning sunshine. This was their last full day of service on the Plymouth and Penzance route.
   What sterling service they have provided for 40 years.

It's 11.17 on the 19th August 2018. There are obviously some enthusiasts around, one acknowledges the wave of the driver of 143 621. Another sits on the warm concrete surveying the scene, it's 11 minutes before the steam appears! Copyright Clive Smith.

What a superb picture, almost like a BR holiday poster of years gone by, the engine looking magnificent and a man waves. 35028 Clan Line leaves Parsons tunnel Torbay Express 0800 BTM to Kingswear.
