Memories HSTs at Penzance
Roger Winnen
In the next month or so the remaining 2+4 car HSTs will be named in the Castle Class series. Seeing that a list of 24 power cars is to be named Its only fitting to record the present fleet both carrying names and not before the change over. According to reports the Great Western Depot at Laira has the new nameplates.

August Peak Weeks
Craig Munday

The high season 8 weeks has provided carnage on the roads, with the new station facilities at St Erth also doing a bouncing trade. The double DMUs on the branch often standing room only as the shuttles pass the box.

I guess Summer Saturdays don't stir the senses as they did years ago, but we are still essentially moving people around.

Cheers for now,   Craig.   Many thanks Craig. A smashing bumper bundle for a very busy months on the roads where there are traffic jams everywhere.

The St Erth picture show every inch of trackwork filled with two IETs on the mainline platforms, 2 x 150 units in the bay and a Stoneblower stabled in the now truncated branch siding. The traction of 1976 would have made a more interesting image I guess! 17th August 2019. Copyright Craig Munday

Dowgas 2011
Chris Harvey

Please find attached a shot from a hot 28th August 2011 that you might be able to use.
Best Regards,
Chris Harvey,  Bodmin.
Many thanks Chris.
A nice spot unhindered by passing road traffic.  Lush green grass and not much of an autumn tint on the trees.
