The long way round for a Colas Tamper DR 73913 working the 1120 Chard Junction to Westbury. A rare day light move West of Yeovil Junction taken at Exhibition Way Overbridge between Pinhoe and Exmouth Junction.

A little lucky as the weather was just turning inclement.
Best wishes, Dave.

Refreshment Room, for the rich and famous!
Redruth
Andrew and Diane
I am probably rambling a bit, (something I do a lot these days according to my children!), but out of the blue I remember having coffee in the superb station cafe at Redruth and came across the little plaque above the table, please see attached photograph. I assumed it was just a joke that Jenny Agutter sat where I was sitting. I checked online and sure enough the famous lady had sat there and was involved in the opening of the newly refurbished premises in 2002/2003.

Thank you both.

A bridge not far enough!
Paul Roach

Woke up today and finally it was the day that work would commence on the bridge at Bodriggy. However after careful planning and lots of letters it seemed Network Rail had still decided that we should stay in our homes for the duration of the works, closing the road penning us inside!

Bodriggy diversions. The small lane leading off to the right provides access to various properties including Pauls! Some adjustment is necessary. 28th February 2022. Copyright Paul Roach.
Many thanks Paul - perhaps you can get in and out by helicopter - food dropped by drones. After all it's only for a few weeks.
Bodriggy diversions

Picture
As can be seen from the above map the diversions are indeed very long - Paul lives on the west of the red marked area - Bodriggy School (Just over the fence from his home) is at the east end of the red marked area.
Good exercise - but don't be late for school!!

Ashbury Crossing
Ken Mumford

[1] Network Rail notice at either end of this footbridge built to replace a level crossing, replaced by half barriers and now large heavy concrete blocks either side of the railway line.
[2] 66616 heading west with a Freightliner approaching the east side of Ashbury Crossing.
[3] A Paddington bound IET about to pass over the west side of Ashbury Crossing.
[4] 66761 [with a name I couldn't make out!} heads west
[5] Whilst talking to a local farmer this one wagon train heading east surprised me and i was only able to get a going-away shot
