Sometimes you win and others you lose. 34046 at Exminster in superb sunshine. 34046 at Stoke Canon. Yes, a nice big black cloud appeared at the wrong time. Dave  Many thanks.

The Pathfinder Mazey Day Cornishman
Tame Bridge Parkway to Penzance

Picture
37059 & 37218 pass Cheston Bridge east of Wrangaton at 18.30 with the 16.07 Penzance - Tame Bridge Parkway railtour with 68004 on the rear. This is a new photographic spot for me and worked out quite well. A problem in South Devon with return railtours is the late evening sun .The sun was shining high and bright in the north west so I took a punt on the former Wrangaton station but the steep cutting sides created too much shadow. In the distance down the track I could see another bridge and as the line curves around a little to the north east decided to investigate. Thankfully the drastic vegetation clearance along vast stretches of the main line around here had opened up a quite useful vantage point. Wrangaton station is in the distance located below the visible dwelling which are flats created from the former Coach House Inn closed in 2000. Copyright Clive Smith

Golden Weeks
Craig Munday

Craig presents his collection for the best weeks, well, the longest days of the year.  Many thanks indeed Craig,

An evening visit to Restormel on one of the longest days. The light, foxgloves and scenery lit so beautifully here, I wanted some pictures. 66150 scotted back light engine after working the JIAs to Exeter Riverside. 19th June 2019. Copyright Craig Munday.

Colas 66847 visited Moorswater with the cement on 26th. I was out with our Regional Freight Manager Chris Constable so he could see first hand some of the local issued with delivering the goods (as it were). The new passenger timetable is particularly challenging fitting in the freight services, and pathing is now paramount. 26th June 2019.
