Whilst at Plymouth Station around midday on Saturday there was a Rail Grinder parked on the end line nearest the buffers awaiting for its next duty, perhaps work due to start at Totnes. It was DR 79263-DR79273 being a two part unit. Copyright Leslie Curnow

I think people are getting a bit carried away about the proposed sea defence work, and are not fully appreciating what the current plan is. The only section where it is to be raised 2.5m is between Dawlish station and the tunnel. Future work to the east of the station may extend that a further short distance. Some captions are misleading readers into thinking this will apply to more than it is. All in the interests of accurate reporting!
