Andrew picks out three of his late fathers collection of St David in the 70's.

There have been many photographs of trains at Exeter St Davids over the years, but Dad preferred to record the infrastructure at this most Great Western of main line stations, on a visit in May 1970.  The pictures are:

• The large wooden bracket signal on platforms 3/4 for westbound trains.
• Milk tanks and parcels vans being shunted by an 08 on the west side of the station.
• The view west from the footbridge with a 'Warship' waiting on a Waterloo train.  A 'Western' can just be made out down on the Exe bridge.

Brea Bridges

For those of you local to the Camborne - Redruth area you will probably be very familiar with the 'tunnel' under the short by high embankment which crosses the Brea Valley. However you'll not be so familiar with the other two bridges close by;
