                            The Roger Report
As you will know Roger had a fall a couple of days ago. He was taken by ambulance firstly to West Cornwall Hospital at Penzance and from there to Treliske Hospital, Truro.   After  assessment, he was taken to Bodmin Hospital and given a spare bed in Harbour Ward. Roger rang me at 09.15 today, and sounded cheerful, he said that he has a swelling on his shin which is being treated. He doesn't think that he will be at home for perhaps a week.
Roger says the nurses are very cheerful and kind - he is being well fed!! His ward phone number is 01208 251565,  by the way they know him as JAMES WINNEN, perhaps best  to keep your conversations brief as this is a common phone.  I, KJ, will keep you up to date with news - not necessarily daily.

Hi Keith,
I was out taking my permitted exercise/walk today crossing the Southern line near my home
in time to catch the 1Z28, 1256 Exeter to Salisbury comprising 159106 leading 159101,
worth a shot as both units were still in SW Trains livery. The location is about half mile west of Crewkerne
Station.
I hope Roger is recovering after his 'derailment'.
Stay safe

Many thanks Mike.

An appreciation

Good afternoon! As a Mom I'm reaching out to let the Cornwall Railway Society know your links page was a big help to my daughter Kerri and a school project she's working on. With all the uncertainty still happening with COVID-19, Kerri's school has moved all their work to virtual classrooms online. It's been quite the transition for sure, but I'm doing my best to help Kerri with her homework to ensure she doesn't fall behind! Right now I'm helping her with a transportation project for her social studies class; they're learning about the history of transportation, the pioneers who changed travel and important moments in transportation history. Your page led us to some great websites to check out and include, so Kerri and I wanted to make sure we thanked you If it's not too much trouble, I was also hoping you could add another link to your page? Kerri found this guide which I was impressed with! This is it.... A History of Trolleys, Light Rails, Street Cars and Subways https://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/a_history_of_trolleys_light_rails_street_cars_and_subways.html I thought it would be great addition to this page... http://www.cornwallrailwaysociety.org.uk/links.html Can you add a link to it on there? I would appreciate it so much! I'd love to show Kerri - and her teacher! It's always nice getting some recognition for a job well done and I know Kerri would get a kick out of it. ...And perhaps Kerri will even get some extra credit from her teacher if I show him? Brownie points would be a nice way to start of 2021! The project is due on Friday, if you get a free moment to include it at some point by then! But if not, whenever you get a chance to add it is great! Thank you!! Warmly, Mrs. Michelle Bass
  1. Glad to hear we are able to help help.
Best of luck to Kerri
