Lower Lodefin Crossing is about six and half miles NNE of Tiverton - close to Bampton and even closer to Morebath Jct - this is a private property.
You certainly get around Andrew - lucky you and well done.

MONDAY 11th SEPTEMBER  43042 49103 48107 48108 48109 43162 (set GW02) moved as 5Z25 0958 Laira - Minehead.

TUESDAY 12th SEPTEMBER 43122 48106 48105 48104 49102 43094 (set GW02) moved as 5Z12 0958 Laira - Bishops Lydeard.  All branding and PC nameplates remain intact.   Today the Taunton Trains website
https://www.tauntontrains.co.uk/news  has an interesting item covering the period 2004-2005 when ex Virgin HST stock was kept on the WSR prior to being taken on by FGW.

There are reportedly plans to use one of the sets on the West Somerset Railway on 23rd - 24th September when the line's 'Yellow' timetable will be in operation.     Check WSR website for more details.

TUESDAY 12th SEPTEMBER.   43040 48142 48141 48140 49114 43172 (set GW14) moved as 5M98 1318 Laira - Bristol St Philips Marsh.  All vehicles debranded and PC's denamed.   43040 has also lost its Falklands 40th anniversary decals.

Further afield, also on 12th,  Rail Adventure were contracted to move 11 former Castle Class carriages from Ely Papworth Sidings to Great Yarmouth CHS, in preparation for export to Mexico.  Power cars 43468 and 43480 (not for export!) took the following vehicles: 48133 48132 48131 49111 48113 49101 48103 48101 48115 48125 49107 as 5Z44 1138 Ely Papworth - Great Yarmouth.

I understand that Cross Country power cars 43285 and 43301 are now both stood down at Laira and have been de-branded.

Best regards

Guy Vincent
