Hello Roger,Some great pics. on the site as usual and interesting ones of THE storm. Michael sends this picture of 45138 arriving at Newton Abbot on Saturday 10 August 1985 with the 15.04 Paignton to Nottingham,so much of interest in the background.It was worth a long day out to capture scenes such as this but we were younger then and thought nothing of getting home about 10pm ,with work the next day too.! Bradford Junction - Trowbridge Track Renewals

Time away from sorting out the records today to go and take a look at a large track renewal job between Bradford Junction and Trowbridge. Approximately half a mile of the 'Down Trowbridge' line is being replaced with new ballast, sleepers and continuous welded rails. Such is the passage of time that I have photos of previous renewals along this section of line, these date from occupations in 1983, 1990, 1993 and 2021.
