Hi Ken.
Here are some photos of today's Solihull to Plymouth charter train at Swindon this morning.

The train was t&t by 47593 & 47614 to Bristol T M where 46100 Royal Scot & 45231 Sherwood Forster replaced 47593 for the run to Plymouth.

I would have liked to get a full length shot of the train but as soon as the cumber left a freight train pulled up on the middle road. The two trains actually crossed just out of shot.

LMS 4-6-0 46100 'Royal Scot' and LMS Stanier 4-6-0 Black Five 45231 'The Sherwood Forester' with 47614 on the rear with the 1Z70 06.00 Solihull - Plymouth charter operated by Saphos Train returning with the delayed 1Z72 17.00 Plymouth - Solihull. The first two pictures are at Langford Bridge just west of what was Aller Junction at 13.30. Although overcast there was a bit of brightness unlike at Brent at 17.37 in the third picture which can best be described as 'dreich'. Irrespective of the weather these were a magnificent sight.

Although the weather wasn't brilliant down our way today, I ventured to Devon today to capture the Saphos Trains 'Devonian Express' with 46100 'Royal Scot' and '45231 'Sherwood Forester and 47617 assisting at the rear, 4 shots for CRS
