Yesterday work started on the rationalisation of the track layout at St Erth Station. Visiting the station today Monday 10th November, 2014 saw the St Ives Branch running only between St Erth and St Ives as there was signalling problems between St Erth and Penzance.
The crossover adjacent to St Erth Signal Box has been recovered together with the two sidings off the down main lifted. It is now impossible to run an engine around at St Erth, the only run rounds that remain are at Penzance and Truro in West Cornwall.
