Yes, more from Sid Sponheimer, more welcome additions to our Exeter - Ilfracombe file at Barnstaple Shed, Barnstaple Bridge and at Ilfracombe. Many thanks Sid. We asked Mike Roach if he had any idea of the previous workings of this train?
In this case the train would appear to be the 12.55 limited stop service from Taunton to Ilfracombe due 15.33. However the train started back at Bristol TM at 11.35 due Taunton 12.45. It may even be the 07.50 off Llanelly due Bristol at 11.32 None of these trains were advertised as through trains which they would have been 12 months earlier in Summer 1963. This was the penultimate Saturday for this train/timetable. The following Saturday, 5 September 1964 was the last time it ran, and the last day of steam for Taunton-Barnstaple. Taunton Shed closed the same weekend. Thanks for your valuable suggestions Mike. Due to the way that the web site is constructed items follow in the order in which they are received at the Newsdesk. In this case Craig photographed 57 303 earlier that Rogers comprehensive set below but it appears afterwards. Many thanks for yours Craig.

DR 73905 will be working over night in the Camborne area, departing Truro at 00.31 am and arriving Penzance at 05.16am. Regards Mick Thanks Mick Keith, I recently purchased, from a well known auction site, two railway photographs one of which may be of interest to your website readers. The interesting one is of Trenance Viaduct, Newquay and there is a handwritten note in pencil on the back of the photo which names the viaduct and dates it as 1906. I am not sure of the class of loco, perhaps your readers may be able to help. The second photo is of Terrier class loco "Brighton Works" at an unknown location. I hope you find them to be of interest. Best Regards Alan Harris, Carharrack Roger Winnen replies Re the Trenance Viaduct picture I think this is of a 35XX Great Western tank - they were built in 1884 and did operate in our part of the world - some were later modified and fitted with tenders. With Regard to the second picture a reply from Mick House. Details of the second photo from Alan Harris. Brighton Works Stroudley Terrier 377S was photographed at Caterham station in Surrey on Sunday 6th August 1956 and it was Celebrating 100 years of the Caterham Railway Company 1856 to 1956, the train ran the short distance from Purley to Caterham and back. Regards Mick A nice quite early shot from David Tozer who's obviously been checking his 'Real Train Times' to get a shot like this taken just 3 hours ago. Many thanks David
The unofficial car park at Camborne Station is about to start charging motorists to park their cars there. Its on the south side of the station on the site of the former goods yard which closed on 5 October 1964. The site has been tidied up and the gravel surfaces have been topped up and rolled. According to the signs pay-and-display machines will be installed shortly. Parking has been free up until now. Many thanks for your observations Mike
