Hi Keith, With some huge rain clouds and pleasant spells of sunshine I took the camera to work yesterday. The lunchtime 3 trains conundrum saw 43130 on 1C77 from Paddington connect with 153377 on the 14.10 Newquay service, and 2 class 150s formed 2P90 Penzance to Plymouth with units 150216 / 243. The 14.45 to Penzance 2C47 was formed with two class 153s 153329/373. Cheers Craig Many thanks Craig Sid Sponheimer has been off for the day in Devon and very kindly sent us three of the 150 pictures he took. Many thanks Sid, I hear DT was around!! Here the train is seen at Truro in the early hours of Tuesday morning waiting to return to St Blazey where the train was stabled. - Alan Peters Many thanks Alan
The train (08.30 Penzance-Paddington stalled between Exeter St Davids and Exeter Central with part of the train in the tunnel. It could not be restarted until fitters had attended to make repairs and eventually got moving again after being stationary for over an hour and a half. This clearly played havoc with workings over the single line south-western route. From a very reliable source. FGW did an excellent job in getting the service underway in 90 minutes.

Two Golden Oldies from Roger Geach. Roger keeps us supplied with many pictures, all of high quality, however in a recent bunch I've picked out two for a special mention. The first shows a rare shot of steam at Bincombe Tunnel. |
